Candle Care Guide

Follow these simple tips to ensure the best experience and longest life for your Sima Candle.

  • Trim the Wick: Before lighting, trim the wick to about 1/4 inch (0.5cm). A wick that's too long can cause a high flame, black smoke, and fast burning.
  • First Burn: Let the candle burn for at least 2-4 hours the first time. This helps prevent tunneling and ensures the wax is used evenly.
  • Safety First: Never burn the candle unattended. Keep it away from objects that can catch fire, and away from children or drafty places.
  • Limit Burn Time: Burn for a maximum of 4 hours at a time to prevent the container from overheating.
  • Extinguish Properly: Don't use the candle to put out the candle. Use a snuffer or gently blow it out.
  • Discontinue Use: Stop using the candle when only 1cm (1/2 inch) of wax remains to prevent extreme heat from damaging the surface below.
